    What is a microplate reader, and how does it work? What exactly is it used for testing? What are the functions and applications of this water distiller? The microplate reader, also known as the enzyme-linked immunoassay, is a specialized instrument used in the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. It is also referred to as a microplate detector in some circles. When it comes to the process of use, it is generally divided into two categories: semi-automatic and fully automatic; however, the working principle of the two is essentially identical; the core is the colorimeter, which means that the colorimetric method is used for analysis.This device is actually a phase change photoelectric colorimeter or spectrophotometer, and its basic operating principle is virtually identical to that of the main structure and photoelectric colorimeter.After passing through the filter or monochromator, the light wave emitted by the light source lamp is transformed into monochromatic light, which enters the specimen under test through the microporous pole made of polyethylene plastic. A portion of the monochromatic light is absorbed by the specimen, and the remaining portion is irradiated to the photoelectric through the specimen (see Figure 1). The photodetector on the detector is responsible for converting the various light signals emitted by the specimen under test into the corresponding electrical signals.Amplification, logarithmic amplification, analog-to-digital conversion, and other signal processing are performed on the electrical signal before it is sent to the microprocessor for data processing and calculation, following which the results are displayed on the monitor and printed out on the printer.In principle, there are two types of microplate readers: grating type microplate readers and filter type microplate readers. Grating type microplate readers are the most common type of microplate reader. In contrast to the grating type microplate, the filter type microplate can only intercept specific wavelengths for detection depending on the optional filter.A wide range of applications for microplate readers are found in clinical testing, biological research, agronomy, food science, and environmental science. Microplate readers have become increasingly popular in the field of reproductive health care in recent years, owing to the widespread use of an increasing number of enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA) kits. The application of Chinese medicine is becoming more and more widespread, and at the same time, it has contributed to the advancement of reproductive health technology on a global scale.
